Neonatal and paediatric intensive care

An paediatric team provides intense care to infants and new born. The repatriation and emergency resuscitation of premature infants, term infants or children with septic shock, cardiogenic shock or respiratory distress are the hallmark of this Airlec unit. Incubators, paediatric ventilators, multiparameter monitoring, onboard laboratory, electronic station syringes complement the human device.

A significant portion (25%) of the patients respond to resuscitation severity criteria with a GHI score of 7 with substitution of organs. The most appropriate ventilation techniques control respiratory failures on board. We can handle patients up to 370 lbs thanks to the introduction of loading ramps. We use mechanical and electrical ferries to facilitate the boarding of the patient and a cargo door of 92 cm (36 inches) equipped the Citation Super II aircraft.

A unit of six doctors and nurses trained and formed for CBRN-E risk has stretcher with negative pressure and dry suits. Airlec irreplaceable experience, which transferred nearly all European patients victims of Ebola during the crisis of winter 2014-2015, reflects its requirement and extreme professionalism. Decontamination and disinfection procedures meet the highest standards.

A surgical team consisting of a heart surgeon , a perfusionist , an anesthetist and an intensive care nurse is operational for any repatriation of patient in ARDS or cardiogenic shock. Our team perform veno -venous cannulation or arteriovenous at the bedside. Our aircraft are equipped with ECMO technical platform, especially designed for it.

An Airliner and Ground Ambulance Department was opened to respond to many requests. Airlec Medical organizes medical assistance and the possibility of an escort on airliner. Our team supports the patient before, during and after the flight and can take care of the organization of land ambulance and hospital placement.
